Mika Guérard, Ph.D, MBA

Dr. Guérard is currently the Vice-President of Life Sciences at RBCx, a division of RBC dedicated to supporting innovation, and was previously a partner at Théodorus, a venture capital fund based in Belgium and Canada. She has over 10 years of experience in medicinal chemistry research and drug development. She worked from 2017 to 2023 at BioMotiv LLC, an evergreen fund dedicated to accelerating the development of promising discoveries, where she was Director of Investments and Operations from 2017 to 2020. In recent years, Dr. Guérard has created two biotech companies and led small-molecule biology development programs in oncology, ophthalmology, rare diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, interstitial lung diseases, diabetes, bacterial infections, and autoimmune diseases.

From 2015 to 2016, Dr. Guérard worked as a medicinal chemist at Zamboni Chem Solution, where she participated in the development of therapies for Amgen and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. She lived in Italy for six years and worked in syndication at AbaxBank, an Italian investment bank.
